UPDATE Russia-Ukraine conflict: Russian airstrikes hit military base near Lviv

TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Russia continues to launch its attacks on cities in Ukraine.

Most recently, Russian airstrikes hit the Center for International Peace and Security (IPSC) near the northwestern city of Lviv on Sunday (3/13/2022) morning local time, according to the press office of the Lviv regional government.

quote CNNIPSC is a large military base that includes a training center for soldiers, mainly for peacekeeping missions.

According to preliminary data, Russia fired eight missiles near Lviv, the regional government said.

Officials are looking into whether there were any casualties.

Several explosions were heard shortly before 6 a.m. local time near the city.

7 Civilians Killed

Ukraine said Russian troops on Saturday (12/3/2022) had killed seven civilians.

Victims of the attack included women and children trying to flee fighting near Kyiv.

While France says Russian President Vladimir Putin has shown he is not ready to make peace, as quoted from CNA.
