TRIBUNNEWS.COM, MOSCWA – The chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin has ordered an investigation into the circumstances of the mass execution of civilians in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR).
It is known, LPR is a region in the Donbass that claims to have been independent from Ukraine.
Quoted from the TASS page, Monday (14/3/2022), the statement was delivered by the press service of the Committee on Sunday.
“The chairman of the Investigative Committee has ordered investigators to gather evidence and identify all those involved in it to account for this under the law,” the committee said.
According to previous reports, during the attack on Popasnaya, LPR troops claimed to have found the site of the mass execution of civilians near the railroad tracks.
Then the PLR People’s Militia said that the retreating Ukrainian troops used people as human shields and shot dead anyone who resisted or tried to flee.
