As previously informed, there are two new OPPO premium flagships launched, OPPO Find X5 Pro and OPPO Find X5. We already know a lot, what the OPPO Find X5 Pro is like with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Well! Now it’s OPPO Find X5’s turn that we will discuss.

The OPPO Find X5 is also equipped with the same hardware features as the Pro model, including the Hasselblad Natural Color Calibration feature and the custom 6nm MariSilicon X image processing chipset. Here the particular chipset is paired with the Snapdragon 888 (not 8 Gen 1).

Meanwhile, for the memory configuration, OPPO has embedded 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage into the OPPO Find X5. This smartphone also runs on ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12, which has also added the Multi-Screen Connect feature.

For those of you who are curious about the screen sector, OPPO Find X5 has a smaller screen size and uses a 6.55-inch OLED panel. The resolution is FullHD+, although it’s not an LTPO panel, it still offers a 120Hz refresh rate. The back is covered with matte glass (Black and White), plus a fingerprint-resistant frame.

Not only equipped with the MariSilicon chipset, the Find X5 also has a camera setup that is very similar to the Pro. This includes two IMX766-equipped cameras, a wide and an ultra-wide. The 1/1.56” sensor has 1.0µm pixels and supports binning. The wide camera has OIS, but this is the regular kind and not 5-axis optical stabilization.

Also on the back is a 13 MP telephoto camera (52mm lens, 2x optical zoom). On the front is the 32 MP selfie camera, which sports an IMX615 sensor (so no RGBW filter) and the lens only has 81° FoV (compared to 90° on the Pro).

The battery is slightly smaller at just 4,800 mAh (vs. 5,000 mAh on the X5 Pro), but it’s 300 mAh larger than the X3’s battery. Already supporting the same 80W SuperVOOC fast wired charging (up from 65W on the X3), wireless charging has been downgraded to 30W AirVOOC.

The OPPO Find X5 also comes with a multi-tiered cooling system similar to the Pro which includes an extra large vapor chamber. However, this smartphone does not have a dust or water resistance rating aka IP68. 360° antenna still attached, for stable 5G connection.

The OPPO Find X5 is already available for pre-order and is priced at €1,000 for the 8GB/256GB option (the only one available in Europe). Meanwhile, OPPO will offer an open sale starting on March 14, 2022. and there are only two color choices, namely Black and White.
