Apart from the CPU which is now 20% faster and the GPU 30% faster than its predecessor, this chipset also supports premium photography capabilities. This is thanks to the latest 7th generation AI Engine in the chipset. The AI ​​Engine is said to be 4x faster and 1.7x more efficient than its predecessor. In addition, this chipset also comes with Snapdragon sight, an exclusive technology that is only available in SD 8 Gen 1. This technology has a triple ISP that can work simultaneously, processing data from three sensors at once. It provides image data processing speed of up to 3.2 pixels per second.

It includes super HDR, auto framerate, and super night resolution, so the captured image or video is clearer, brighter, in focus, and sharper. Videography capabilities are also equipped with OIS and VDIS. where the combination of the two can produce a more stable video.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S22 and S22+ are equipped with a 3 rear camera configuration consisting of a new 50MP wide lens, 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and 12MP ultra wide, with a 10MP front camera. While the Galaxy S22 Ultra has 4 rear cameras including a 108MP wide lens, 12MP ultra-wide, 10MP X3 telephoto, and 10MP X10 telephoto, as well as a 40MP front camera.
