Chinese phone manufacturer OnePlus recently brought an update to its flagship OnePlus 10 Pro to support 1 Hz AOD

The OnePlus 10 Pro is the latest flagship phone from OnePlus. Currently, the device is only marketed in China. However, the company started sharing teasers of its international launch. Prior to that, the phone received the latest system updates in its home country, with a number of feature optimizations.

The OnePlus 10 Pro is one of the few phones on the market with an LTPO 2.0 display. This means the screen on this phone can have refresh rate as low as 1 Hz to save power.

A month after its release, the device has finally taken advantage of the above-mentioned technology by introducing new features. That feature is currently rolling out with an update firmware Latest A.09.

Reported from Gizmochina (15/2), the feature in question is support refresh rate 1 Hz for AOD (Always-on Display). Thanks to this new addition, users don’t have to worry about power consumption when using AOD on their OnePlus 10 Pro.

However, it should be noted that changelog official for new software update says that only certain AOD styles support refresh rate 1 Hz. Hopefully, the company will expand compatibility in the future.

Apart from this feature, that latest update brings optimization for portrait mode capture, white balance in third-party camera apps, night mode, system smoothness, haptics effects, overall performance and gaming, Bluetooth earphone compatibility, Wi-Fi performance and so on.
