In the fourth quarter of last year, Google announced the presence of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Both come with Tensor chipset support. Now! The latest rumors circulating on the internet say that the search engine giant will announce a Tensor-powered Pixel again in the next few months.

Yes! The device is expected to debut in the market with the Pixel 6A moniker. Now, Max Jambor’s informant has informed when the smartphone will be launched by Google, although it has not mentioned the launch date.

According to Jambor, the Google Pixel 6A is slated to launch in May. One thing you need to remember, Google Pixel 5a 5G was announced in August 2021. Its predecessor, Pixel 4a was launched in August 2020. Meanwhile, Pixel 3a was unveiled at a Google I/O event, which was held in May 2019.

Therefore, it makes sense that the upcoming Google I/O event will be held in May 2022. It is at this event that Google is believed to be introducing the Pixel 6A. Then, what about the specifications? Associated with this is still a mystery.

Meanwhile, recent reports reveal that the Google Pixel 6A’s rear camera setup will include a 12.2 MP Sony IMX363, which was first available on Pixel smartphones in 2018. The main camera will be paired with a 12 MP Sony IMX386 ultra-wide lens.

For those of you who are curious about the front camera, the report claims that the Pixel 6A will be equipped with an 8 MP Sony IMX355 sensor. It is estimated that the Tensor chipset that supports the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro will also be the driving force for the Pixel 6A.

CAD renderings and images of the Pixel 6A dummy unit that have previously been circulating on the internet reveal that the device will be equipped with an OLED panel and have a punch-hole design as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner. The back side will be equipped with a horizontal camera module for the dual camera unit.
