VIVA – Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Shesar Hiren Rhustavito experienced two different fates in the last 32 of the BWF World Tour Super 300 badminton tournament German Open 2022.

Competing at Westenergie Sporthalle, Tuesday 8 March, Ginting managed to advance to the round of 16, while Vito had to lift his suitcase early.

Ginting first won over the Spaniard, Pablo Abian. After winning 21-14 in the first game, Ginting had to work hard in the second game before finally closing the match with a tight score of 23-21.

“Praise God to be able to play well and without injury,” Ginting said in an official statement from PBSI.

“Yesterday the match was quite tight, especially in the second game. The problem at that time was that I entered the tempo of the opponent’s game. So the opponent could develop in his game. After falling behind, I tried to play more with my attacking tempo,” said Ginting.

Ginting’s steps failed to be followed by his partner Vito. Vito had to admit the superiority of Lee Cheuk Yiu from Hong Kong China through a three-game battle, 16-21, 21-14, 18-21.
