Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reminding his team not to get bored after overcoming Inter Milan 2-0. Klopp says work Liverpool it’s not finished yet.

Liverpool managed to beat Inter when they visited the Giuseppe Meazza in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 last night. However, the Reds only broke the deadlock after 75 minutes through Roberto Firmino’s goal, which Mohamed Salah added eight minutes later.

Inter Milan is not without a fight. Hakan Calhanoglu almost opened the scoring Nerazzurri but unfortunately his shot hit the Liverpool crossbar. Overall, Inter gave birth to nine attempts.

However, Liverpool benefited greatly from the win at Inter. To qualify for the last eight, the Reds just need a minimum result of a draw or defeat as long as there is no more than one goal in the second leg. While Inter must win by three goals difference at Anfield.

Although Liverpool are faced with an easier job in the next match, Klopp insists his team is not completely safe. Moreover, Inter Milan showed a good performance.

“It’s still dangerous. It’s still half-time and nothing else,” Klopp said on Liverpool’s official website. “That’s how this knockout phase is, you learn a lot about the opposing team. Before you analyze without fighting them and after that you analyze against them.”

“Both teams know a lot more about each other. We know it will be tricky and we have to be ready for it. I don’t see us playing the same, but they did well, they played differently to us. There are a lot of different things, but they good, very good so that’s half-time now, 2-0 up.”

“Had it been a good half-time and we were 2-0 up at half-time, I didn’t say to the boys, ‘Work done, put your feet on the table.’ It’s a complicated result so why should we think differently about it?” said Klopp after Liverpool overcame Inter Milan.
