VIVA – Holywings mourns the death of Indonesian boxer Hero Purwanto aka Hero Tito on Sunday afternoon, March 3, 2022.
Hero Tito breathed his last at Mitra Keluarga Hospital, Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, after experiencing brain swelling.
The boxer from Malang fell after his fight against James Mokoginta at the Holywings Sport Show.
Hero is hit in a row in the seventh round and is declared defeated. Hero then unconscious and then rushed to the hospital.
Holywings Co-Founder Ivan Tanjaya spoke about the incident. He explained the standard of handling for the match which was taking place at Holywings Gatsu Club V, Jakarta.

Ivan Tanjaya revealed that the medical team had been on standby during the event. In addition, his party has also prepared a special path from the stage to exit the building to the ambulance which is available long before the event starts.
