Franchise world Fullmetal Alchemist looks like it will continue to grow, as two new live-action films based on this legendary series have been announced by the party Warner Bros. Japan. The first one is Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Avenger Scar which will be released on May 20, 2022, and features a storyline in which the main protagonist, Edward Elric confronts Scar. second movie, Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Last Transmutationwill be released on June 24, 2022, and will depict the final battle of the series Fullmetal Alchemist.

Both films will feature the return of the cast from the first live-action film based on the series, including Ryōsuke Yamada as Edward Elric, Atomu Mizuishi as Alphonse Elric (voice and motion capture), Tsubasa Honda as Roy Mustang, Misako Renbutsu as Riza Hawkeye, Kanata Hongou as Envy, Ryuta Sato as Maes Hughes, and Shinji Uchiyama as Gluttony. The new cast members for the film include:

The films come in the midst of the manga’s 20th anniversary celebration Fullmetal Alchemist, which happened last year on July 12. The first live-action of the franchise was released in October 2017.
Fullmetal Alchemist or Hagane no Renkinjutsushi is manga by Hiromu Arakawa. Tells the story of a brother and sister duo, Edward and Alphonse Elric who try to save their mother by using power alchemy dangerous and very powerful. Unfortunately, the attempt failed and they both had to pay for it with their limbs. In order to restore the condition of their bodies, Ed and Al travel to get a special power object called the Philosopher’s Stone.
