Based on a popular web novel that has been adapted into a webtoon, ‘A Business Proposal’ is a romantic comedy Korean drama about an ordinary office employee who goes on a blind date with a company CEO.
Ahn Hyo Seop will be playing the role of CEO Kang Tae Mu, who comes from a conglomerate family. He has everything, from good looks, wealth, and also business skills.
Meanwhile, Kim Sejeong in the drama will play Shin Ha Ri, an ordinary food research employee. Shin Ha Ri is forced to replace her best friend Jin Young Seo (Seol In Ah) who also comes from a conglomerate family to go on a blind date with Kang Tae Mu.
soompi reported on Saturday (26/02/2022) that in a recent interview, Ahn Hyo Seop revealed the reason why he wanted to star in the Korean drama ‘A Business Proposal.’
Ahn Hyo Seop said, “I want to try acting in a romantic comedy drama. I think I’ll be able to show viewers a funnier side of me.”
The actor also commented on his character in the drama. Ahn Hyo Seop explained, “In the drama, Kang Tae Mu is portrayed as a character that everyone is envious of. On the outside, he looks perfect and handsome. He then revealed the inner side of his character.
“Kang Tae Mu is so perfect that he usually doesn’t understand people’s small faults or weaknesses and often sees others in a cold, sharp, and sensitive way. When you watch the drama, you will find out why he has that kind of personality and attitude. I think the key point of this drama is the way he and his emotions gradually change after he meets Shin Ha Ri,” he said.
Ahn Hyo Seop also dives into Kang Tae Mu’s unexpected charms. “He is a perfect person and flawless when it comes to work, but he also has a childlike side where he likes to nag, gets angry and can be happy with trivial things. He’s cool and cute,” he said.
“There are many funny and refreshing scenes that can be seen because playing Kang Tae Mu in ‘A Business Proposal’ is a new challenge for me,” he concluded.
The Korean drama ‘A Business Proposal’ will premiere on February 28, 2022 at 10 pm KST or around 20.00 WIB.
