This drama almost failed to air, due to protests from the South Korean public. The change in the name of the character Eun Young Ro, played by Ji Soo, was also caused by Korean people who judged the distortion of historical stories to be with the original character, Chun Young Cho, an activist from South Korea who took part in the demonstration in Gwangju.
2. The Hymn of Death
Hymn of Death starring Lee Jong Suk and Shin Hye Sun comes from the true story of the characters Kim Woo Jin and Yun Sim Deok in 1926. The tragic ending of their love story is also told in this drama.
3. Twenty Five, Twenty One
Often called 2521This drama is said to be based on the life story of Jaurim’s vocalist, Kim Yu Na, who also released the song of the same name. According to a Naver user’s post, Jaurim’s song “Twenty Five, Twenty One” allegedly tells of Kim Yu Na’s lover who died and reminisces about their beautiful moments at the age of 25 and 21.
This song was also played as background in the second episode even though it’s not included in the official OST list. Uniquely, Kim Yu Na also has a child whose name is similar to the character in 2521, namely Kim Min Jae. Even so, this is still only a theory and rumors from fans, because the production has not confirmed it.
4. Fight for My Way
This drama that spurs the spirit to go forward relentlessly is inspired by the figure of the boxer Choo Sung Hoon. This drama also managed to break the stigma of boxers who like to play women.
Full drama plot twist This is also inspired by the psychopath character interviewed by the writer, Choi Ran. The answer from this psychopath made the writer and director produce the figure of Jung Ba Reum.

6. Reply 1988
One of the drama characters Reply 1988, Choi Taek, was inspired by the figure of Lee Chang Ho who is also an international baduk player from South Korea. Then, there were rumors among fans that the figure of Jung Pal and his family was actually inspired by the story of pilot Kim who died in a plane crash.
7. My Wife is Having Affair
Played by Song Ji Hyo and Lee Sun Kyun, this drama comes from a topic on an online forum. This series was inspired by one forum user who posted the topic “My wife cheated on me this week. What should I do?” and went viral.
8. Mr. sunshine
The story is unrelated in the real world, some characters in Mr. sunshine This is depicted from the original character. For example, the figure of Eugene Choi is said to be inspired by the character Hwang Ki Hwan. There are also several scenes that were remade from photos taken by journalists during the war in Korea in ancient times.
9. Queen for Seven Days
Drama sageuk starring Park Min Young is based on the story of the figure of Queen Dang Yeong who has the shortest term of office, which is 7 days. This was due to opposition from his father and made Queen Dang Yeong dethroned and exiled from the palace.
10. Gapdong, the Memories of Murder
Lee Choon Jae’s character has often been the inspiration of a series of films and dramas. One of which is Gapdong which in its entirety deals with the deaths of the victims of the Hwaseong murder case.
