Celebrating 100 Years, Keds Indonesia Invites All Indonesian Women to Work

“Ladies First”

This is not just an expression that is often said by men when they want to let women go first. But this is a campaign promoted by brand Keds shoes as a form of celebration that has succeeded in turning 100 years in the industry fashion.

After previously Keds successfully held an event Fashion Nation 10th Edition last April, at this time Keds again held a follow-up event by presenting a program called Paint the #kedsstyle. The program created by Keds Indonesia invites all creative young women to produce a work of painting on shoes. A total of 357 participants and 417 designs have been successfully collected by the Keds team from May 5 to June 22 2016. However, only 100 works were successfully selected to be exhibited at Senayan City from August 8 to September 4 2016.

These 100 works also consist of a variety of unique and interesting paintings. Some make Keds shoes by adding peacock feathers or lace. Then there is also taking the batik theme and attaching a colored pencil sharpener to the shoes. “It’s not easy to choose 1000 designs from the hundreds of designs that have been submitted because all the designs we received are very good and Indonesian women are very creative and have very interesting ideas and concepts,” said Narendra Pryottama, Public Relations and Digital Media Manager Indonesian Primary School.
