Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi 12 series in the Chinese market and it comes in three models, namely Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X, Xiaomi 12 Pro. Now, this series is expected to fly out of China or be marketed globally in the near future considering that it is slowly appearing in several certification bodies.
Last time, the vanilla 12 model appeared on Geekbench, and now, the Pro model has passed the same certification site. As stated in the Geekbench v5 screenshot, the global version of the Xiaomi 12 Pro has the model number 2201122G.
Noted, the device scored 1145 points in the single-core test (Single-core). Meanwhile, in the Multi-core test, the resulting score was 3578 points. This device itself will run on Android 12 with 12 GB RAM support. The handset is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 clocked at up to 3GHz.
Other news also mentions that the same device has passed the HTML 5 and FCC certification. Unfortunately, the list does not mention detailed specifications at all, other than reaffirming the operating system that is running. Yes! This device runs on Android 12.
Meanwhile, the FCC certification reveals that the Xiaomi 12 Pro which will be launched in the global market has NFC support and the presence of 5G and dual-band Wi-Fi. Until now, Xiaomi itself has kept its mouth shut about the global launch date of the series.
But considering that this smartphone appears quite often in such certifications, it is undeniable that Xiaomi will launch its “champion” in February or March this year. So, let’s just wait for the leaks until the smartphone is launched.
Not a few hope that the global variant of Xiaomi 12 will have specifications similar to the model in China. Looking at the Pro model, this smartphone has a 6.73-inch 2K AMOLED display. In addition, Xiaomi also pinned a dynamic refresh rate that can switch from 1Hz to 120Hz, depending on the content on the screen being accessed.
This smartphone has a triple rear camera system of 50 MP + 50 MP + 50 MP and a selfie camera of 32 MP. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and has a 4,600mAh battery with support for 120W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging support. The device runs on Android 12 with MIUI 13 interface.
