The Xiaomi 12 Lite will be launched in China, India and global markets under the codename Taoyao and model number L9.
The news about the Xiaomi 12 Lite has started to be heard last year. Some time later, news about the device re-emerged. Xiaomiui states Xiaomi will launch 2 models smartphone from the Xiaomi 12 series lineup, one of which will be available for several markets, namely China, India and globally. Meanwhile, one other model is only intended for the Chinese market.
Reported from Gizmochina (23/2), sources say Xiaomi set smartphone the global version is codenamed Taoyao and the model number is shortened, namely L9. The device that refers to the Xiaomi 12 Lite is said to be similar to the Xiaomi CIVI series in terms of specifications, and similar to the Xiaomi 12 in terms of design.
Xiaomi 12 Lite is expected to come with a 6.55-inch curved 3D OLED screen and a resolution of 2400 x 1080. The panel will have speed support refresh up to 120Hz and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
In terms of the kitchen runway, smartphone it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ or the more powerful Snapdragon 7xx series chipset. The phone will house a triple camera setup consisting of a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW3 main sensor, ultra wide and macro lens.
Together with smartphone from the previous number series, it is likely that the Xiaomi 12 Lite will bring dual stereo speakers. The phone will also run under MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
As mentioned earlier, this device is planned to be released in China and India, in addition to the global market. Besides, the device codenamed Zijin was planned to be released exclusively in China, but Xiaomiui stated that the phone is now cancelled.
