Wrong Score Goal, Liverpool Beat Inter Milan

Liverpool successfully beat Inter Milan 2-0 in the first leg of the last 16 Champions League.

This match was held at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Milan, on Thursday (17/2) early morning WIB.

Inter Milan was able to control the ball more dominantly in the first half. The home team also appeared to play aggressively both in pressing and attacking.

However, Liverpool also appeared more effective in attack by creating a number of dangerous opportunities.

In the 22nd minute, Sadio Mane’s overhead kick almost endangered the Inter Milan goal after his shot was still off the left side of the home goal.

In the 40th minute, Inter Milan got a golden opportunity through Milan Skriniar’s header after continuing a corner kick.

In the 45th minute, Inter Milan also had a chance through a quick counter-attack scheme. Unfortunately, Edin Dzeko who got a through ball failed to control it well so the ball could be secured by the Liverpool goalkeeper.

In the 60th minute, Inter Milan through the feet of Dzeko had time to break into Liverpool’s goal. Unfortunately the goal was disallowed because Dzeko was judged to have been in an offside position.

In the 76th minute, Liverpool managed to surprise Inter Milan through Roberto Firmino’s header which made the position changed to 1-0.

Then in the 83rd minute, Mohamed Salah gave the hosts a disaster with his goal which made the score 2-0.

This victory is a positive capital for Liverpool to play the second leg of the last 16 at their own headquarters against Inter Milan on 9 March.
