Netflix has a pretty happy surprise for fans The Witcher at their TUDUM show last weekend, releasing not only a new trailer, but also a first look clip revealing more about the upcoming season of the fantasy series starring Henry Cavill the.
As we all know, a new season is coming this December, and before that, Netflix released a new trailer featuring trailers from the highly acclaimed first season as well as new never-before-seen trailers from Season 2. the future of this franchise. Season 2 of The Witcher will be present on December 17, 2021.
The trailer gives a real look at season 2, following on from the teaser released earlier this past July. The new season is set to bring greater focus to the Witcher family of Geralt (Cavill), with Vesemir, Eskel, Coen and Lambert all playing roles in the storyline as Ciri is brought to Kaer Morhen to be trained by Geralt.
Along with the three-minute trailer, Netflix has also released two clips from the upcoming season. The first clip shows Geralt reuniting with his old friend Nivellen, who discusses how human children turn into Witchers after being conditioned to forget their human feelings and reactions. In the second clip, we see Ciri being awakened by Geralt who warns her to run away if anyone other than her leaves the building and informs her that there is bruxa in the house.

The Witcher season 2 will take place sometime after the end of Season 1, where Geralt and Ciri finally reunite while Yennefer uses her powers to help save another wizard. Next season, we will see Geralt and Ciri return to Geralt’s house in Kaer Morhen and there, Ciri will begin her battle and magic training.

In Season 2, Henry Cavill will definitely return as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra will also reprise his role as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan will also return as Ciri, and Joey Batey as Jaskier. They will be joined by a number of new stars who will play some of the franchise’s most famous characters.

Six other actors have also been selected for Season 2 including Paul Bullion (Peaky Blinders) as the wizard Lambert; Yasen Atour (Young Wallender) as Coën, a magician from Poviss; Agnes Bjorn as Vereena, a strong bruxa; Basil Eidenbenz (Fast and Furious 9) as Eskel, Geralt’s friend from his youth; Aisha Fabienne Ross (The Danish Girl) as Lydia, a witch; and Mecia Samson as Francesca the fairy who is described as having extraordinary beauty.
