VIVA – The 2022 BWF World Tour Super 300 German Open starts soon. Taking place today, Tuesday 8-13 March at Westenergie Sporthalle, Mülheim an der Ruhr.
A number of representatives from participating countries will appear in this tournament. One of them is the world badminton king, Viktor Axelsen.
The owner of the world’s 1st rank will fight in the inaugural party. He was challenged by Japan’s representative, Kanta Tsuneyama.
As is known, Axelsen last appeared at the 2021 BWF World Championships. He was only able to compete in the first round, when he was beaten by Singapore’s Loh Kean Yew.
At the 2021 BWF World Tour Finals, Axelsen successfully won the title. He beat Kunlavut Vitidsarn two straight games in the final.
Meanwhile, Axelsen is now at the top of the world rankings. He is perched in 1st place with 116.779 points.
