VIVA – Marc Marquez took to the MotoGP pre-season test at Mandalika. On the first day the appearance of the Honda racer was not optimal.
Baby Alien could only finish in 17th place. He recorded the fastest lap of 1 minute 33.776 seconds.
While the top position belongs to his teammate Pol Espargaro who appeared excellent with the fastest time of 1 minute 32.466 seconds.
Just returned from injury, Marquez was able to bulldoze 64 laps at the Mandalika circuit last Friday, February 11, 2022. His best record was made on lap 63.
After the first day of testing, Marquez also gave an assessment of the new Indonesian pride circuit. He admitted that there were parts he didn’t like on the track.
“I don’t push myself to reach the maximum limit. I like Turn 1. Likewise with Turns 3 and 4,” said Marquez quoted by Crash.
“Turn 2, I don’t like, is too fast. You are there and you have to go, but it’s too fast and there are bumps in one corner. If you take the risk you can have a faster record, but now we are calm.” he insisted.
