VIVA – Indonesian boxing is back on fire with the presence of an international boxing event titled “Holywings Sports Show Boxing”. A total of four professional boxing parties and two celebrity fights will decorate the event which will be held at Holywings Club V Gatsu, Sunday 27 February 2022.
One of the Indonesian boxers who will appear is Defry Palulu. The boxer from East Nusa Tenggara will enter the ring against Thai boxer Aekkawee Kaewmanee.
The two will duel in the super featherweight class. Defry said he was very ready to undergo the duel.
This is because he has been practicing for the past two months. Obviously, the 31-year-old boxer didn’t want his hard work to end in vain.
Moreover, he is determined to make this duel a means of proving himself as well as raising the name of Indonesian boxing so that it will no longer be neglected compared to other sports that are also popular in the country.
“Preparation has been around for two months, really focusing on that. Honestly, I say this is a heartache event, right, because in the boxing world we have many champions, but how come they are looked down upon. Now, I want to prove this,” Defry told reporters, Monday, February 14, 2022.
“Other sports are often noticed but we are neglected. While we have won a lot and this is my opportunity to prove, if yesterday in football we were massacred by Thailand, now I have to kill him,” he added.
