The device with the model number V2178A is registered in the 3C database, according to the vivo Nex Fold which is expected to launch in China in the coming days.
The design scheme of the upcoming Vivo X Fold folding device was previously leaked by an informant (leaker). Now, another foldable device dubbed the vivo Nex Fold has appeared in China’s 3C certification database.
According to a MySmartPrice report, a device with model number V2178A is registered in the 3C database. This model number corresponds to the vivo Nex Fold which is expected to launch in China in the coming days.
The listing also reveals the V2178A will support 80W fast charging. This is in line with an earlier leak by a leaker from Weibo, who stated the vivo Nex Fold will come with a 4600 mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
So far, Vivo Nex Fold is known to come with a 5x periscope zoom lens camera. However, the company is also reportedly working on another foldable device called the vivo X Fold with a 6.5-inch screen and curved edges with Full HD+ resolution and refresh rate 120Hz.
As reported by Tek.id from Gizmochina (8/3), vivo X Fold is said to have a fold-in design like smartphone fold Samsung, Huawei and OPPO. the inner screen will measure 9 inches and bring support for Quad HD+ resolution with speed refresh rate 120Hz.
Regarding the inner design, it will be equipped with holes punch holes on the right. The kitchen runway will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and will be equipped with a 4,600 mAh battery with 80W fast charging and 50W wireless, the same as the Vivo Nex Fold.
For photography, the vivo X Fold will come with settings quad-cam featuring a 50MP main sensor, ultra wide 48MP, 12MP camera with 2x zoom, and 8MP with 5x zoom. In addition, the front and interior screens will be equipped with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.
