It’s no secret that Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had differences of opinion and at least did not get along, leading The Rock to publicly say he would not be returning to the main franchise. fast and furious. However, now Diesel seems to have started to soften and make a public offer to Johnson to reprise Hobbs in the last two films of the mega franchise.

The two have played together in four franchise films fast and furious from 2011 to 2018. Vin Diesel played Dominic Toretto, and Johnson played special agent Luke Hobbs. But the tension started to rise between the two while filming The Fate of the Furious in 2018, which led to The Rock publicly quipping Diesel for his unprofessionalism on set. And he didn’t mince words when he referred to his co-star as “candy a**es” and “chickens**t.”

Since then, the pair have been embroiled in a clandestine feud, with the two wishing each other well on various occasions but never truly reconciled, as made clear by his absence. The Rock in F9: The Fast Saga This year. However, it looks like Diesel has finally decided to bury the matter for good. In a lengthy Instagram post, Diesel referred to The Rock as family and asked him to “appear” in the last two Fast and Furious films. This is what he wrote.

“My little brother Dwayne… the time has come. The world is waiting for the final [Fast & Furious 10]. As you know, my kids call you Uncle Dwayne in my house. Not a day goes by that they and you don’t send good wishes… but the time has come. Inheritance awaits. I told you years ago that I would fulfill my promise to Pablo. I swear that we will reach and realize the best in the final which is 10! I say this out of love… but you have to show up, don’t let this franchise wait. You have a very important role to play. Hobbs can’t be played by another. I hope you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny.”

Fast & Furious 10 will once again be directed by Justin Lin, who will also direct the final film (Fast 11). Chris Morgan will also return to write the scripts for the final two films. Although the official cast has yet to be announced, it is likely that Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Sung Kang will return to reprise their respective roles.

Dwayne Johnson on the other hand, is a very busy person and has recently spoken about a sequel to Hobbs & Shaw, and called it the “antithesis” of the Fast and Furious films. Hopefully, the two stars will sort out their differences as fans will love to see them together again.
