Vietnam SEA Games Preparation, Swimming Training Held Time Trial

VIVA – The Indonesian swimming training team has just held a time trial in preparation for the SEA Games Vietnam 2022, 12-23 May 2022. This activity took place at the Gelora Bung Karno Aquatic Stadium, Jakarta, Monday 21 February 2022.

This time trial event was led directly by an Australian coach, Michael Piper, and the swimming coaching team. Also present were the Vice President of PB PRSI, Harlin E. Rahardjo, along with the Secretary General of PB PRSI, Ali Patiwiri.

This Time Trial was previously conducted two weeks ago. And it was held again to find out the progress of the best time records of swimmers who have undergone national training since early February.

The athletes who participated were Glen Victor Sutanto, I Gede Siman Sudartawa, Gagarin Nathaniel Yus, Aflah Fadlan Prawira, Farrel Armandio Tangkas, Joe Aditya, Andi Muhammad Nurizka, Erick Ahmad Fathoni, Reza Bayu Prasetyo, Azzahra Permatahani, Patricia Yosita, AT Vannesae Evato , Flairene Candrea, Angel Gabriele Yus.

In this time trial, Australian coach Michael Piper tested the 4×100 meter medley relay number, and swimmers had to sprint 50 meters. Especially for the Azzahra time trial, this time the 200 meter medley number was tested.

“By doing this routine time trial, it becomes a test to assess the progress that athletes have achieved during training at the National Training Center. This time trial is also to see the weaknesses of the swimmers so that they can be corrected as soon as possible,” Harlin told reporters.
