UPDATE Russo-Ukrainian War: Airport Destroyed, Boy Kills Shot While Escape

TRIBUNNEWS.COM – The conflict between Russia and Ukraine is still continuing, as a result of which the death toll is increasing.

The latest on Sunday (13/3/2022) reported that an airport in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk, western Ukraine, its infrastructure was almost completely destroyed by Russian air strikes.

Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv said this directly while speaking to the Parliament Rada TV channel.

According to initial information, there were no casualties.

It said the attack was the third time, quoted Tribunnews from CNN.

Meanwhile air strikes near Lviv were also taking place.

The Russian airstrike on a military base near the northwestern city of Lviv comes as Russian forces are expanding their offensive in Ukraine to the west.

On the previous Friday (11/3/2022), Russian troops attacked an airport in the far west of the country, which had previously been spared the conflict.

The damage also appears to be widespread in Ukraine.

There was major damage to the airport in Lutsk in northwestern Ukraine, about 70 miles from the Polish border.
