VIVA – The MotoGP pre-season test which was held last weekend left homework for the Mandalika circuit. A number of racers complained about the condition of the Indonesian pride circuit.
It is known that the first day of the test, last Friday, February 11, 2022, was marked by the raising of a red flag indicating that activities on the track had to be stopped. The committee cleaned the track which was considered very dirty.
Although it has been cleaned, but still the problem has not been resolved optimally. The racers feel the problem on the track.
Starting from the lack of grip, the racing line is very thin, to the pebbles that bounce off to endanger them.
It is believed that the cause of the problems is partly due to the condition of the track which is still rarely used. Grip on the track is not perfect due to very little rubber attached to the asphalt.
While chattering, racer Alex Rins provided a solution for the Mandalika circuit so that the problems that racers complained about could be resolved at the main event of the Indonesian MotoGP in March.
“Maybe a week before coming here they could allow all the bikes on the streets to race here for more grip on the track, or maybe do a car race, with rental cars, somehow,” said Rins.
