Total Indonesian Citizens Confirmed for Covid-19 Abroad Reach 9000 Cases

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – The total number of Indonesian citizens (WNI) confirmed to have Covid-19 abroad reached 9000 cases as of Monday (14/3/2022).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) noted that there were additional Indonesian citizens who were confirmed to be Covid-19 in Vietnam, recovered in Kuwait and Myanmar.

“The total number of confirmed Indonesian citizens abroad is 9000: 7427 recovered, 281 died & 1292 are under treatment,” the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote on Twitter.

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this figure is the accumulated data on the increase since the Covid-19 case broke out in 2020.

The World Health Organization (WHO), noted that Covid-19 had reached 452 million cases in 223 countries/regions.

The United States is the country with the most cases, reaching 78.7 million cases.

Followed by India and Brazil which each reached 42.9 million cases and 29.2 million cases.

While France and England ranked fourth and fifth, with total cases reaching 22.6 million cases and 19.4 million cases, respectively.
