VIVA – PB Djarum immediately prepared a program for Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti mixed doubles after being kicked out of the PBSI National Training Center.
The chairman of PB Djarum, Yoppy Rosimin, said that Praveen/Melati will remain in pairs and participate in various international events with the main goal of qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
“They will compete as usual. We from the team and coaches will choose and consider which tournaments they will participate in. Hopefully they can qualify for the Olympics in Paris later,” Yoppy said on the official PB Djarum website, Friday.
PB Djarum will also burden the world’s fifth-ranked mixed doubles target throughout the 2022 season. “But of course there are consequences and responsibilities that they must bear. They must be able to meet certain targets given,” Yoppy added.
“If they fail to meet the target, of course there will be punishment. The agreement will be stated in a written agreement,” concluded Yoppy.
Programs for Gloria
Apart from Praveen/Melati, PB Djarum will also prepare a program for Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja, who was also kicked out of national training. He will be paired with PB Djarum’s young player, Dejan Ferdinansyah.
