Jakarta Film Week is still accepting film submissions.
If previously the registration deadline ended on September 30, the organizers extended the registration period until October 7, 2021.
Jakarta Film Week is still accepting film works, which are divided into two categories.
- Short film category with a maximum duration of 30 minutes and
- The category of feature films with a duration of more than 45 minutes.
Anyone may participate in registering film works in accordance with applicable regulations, both domestic films and international films.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Film Week does not limit the types of genres of films that are registered. “As for what genre, we accept all types of genres, because they are not limited to one particular genre. The point is how this film can be built and can convey sound, there are things that really want to be conveyed through the filmt,” said Damar Ardias the programmer for Jakarta Film Week.
Later, all registered films will go through a curation process and the selected films will have the opportunity to participate in the competition.
There are three categories of competition, namely the best international feature film award, the best international short film award and the best Indonesian feature film award.
In addition, films that have been registered and have gone through the curation process will be screened during the festival, on 18-21 November 2021either offline or online.
With the holding of Jakarta Film Week, it is hoped that the spirit of work will return.
Although in limited conditions due to the pandemic, Jakarta Film Week tries to bridge the meeting point of film works with the audience. “With this festival, it is hoped that it can be a trigger for the enthusiasm to work because there is already a place for you to leave your work, for us to play and the work can meet with a wider audience,” said Novi Hanabi, Jakarta Film Week program manager.
For filmmakers who want to submit their film works, you can directly register through our official website at www.jakartafilmweek.com. Registration will continue until October 7, 2021.
