Increasing the number of camera lenses, theoretically can double the light entering, and Huawei has adopted it through a combination of monochrome lenses and color lenses that can collect brightness signals at once from the RGB color model (red, green, and blue).

Although capable of refracting light at a higher rate than the human eye can, this algorithm is not without its challenges. The risk of different points of view still exists, but Huawei has innovated to minimize the impact through the AI-Raw concept.

When the shutter is pressed, the sensor will take several photos for fusion processing along with processing the image details. That way, this process can minimize the loss of electrical signal conversion that causes photos that look less sharp.

“This AI-Raw concept underlies the design of the HUAWEI P50 Pro main camera matrix as the latest flagship smartphone from Huawei, which is assembled from a combination of monochrome lenses and RGB lenses, as well as multi-spectrum sensors,” said Patrick Ru, Country Head of Huawei CBG Indonesia.

In addition, the HUAWEI P50 Pro camera also has a special color scheme for monochrome fusion that can dynamically update white balance and color correction in photos. Of course, this can improve the features of better photo scene adaptation.

Not only that, integrated with the Super High Image Processing Engine, the HUAWEI P50 Pro can also produce brighter images, and is able to shoot objects with more light entering. In the end, this is capable of producing clearer photos.

Able to create real photos up to the ability to zoom-in hundreds of times

The photography capabilities of the HUAWEI P50 Pro allow users to experience a more realistic shooting experience like using a professional camera. Practical and compact, the main camera can instantly capture a large amount of light which is directly transmitted to the semiconductor sensor to be converted into an electrical signal.

This process can make group photos using the HUAWEI P50 Pro’s main camera clearer, and even look realistic in three dimensions down to the skin texture. The challenge of clear boundaries between light and dark contrast is no longer a problem because the HUAWEI P50 Pro’s main camera can convert the captured light into a digital signal, which is then sent to the NPU and image signal processor (ISP) for processing.

In this way, the contrast of the brightness signal in the image is closer to the actual scene, and it is not easy to over- or underexpose. What’s more, the difference in brightness is also rated accurately to the pixel level, without worrying about problems caused by increased exposure or sensitivity.

Multi-camera collaboration feature creates clearer images
