The Joy of the Indonesian Women’s Badminton Team After Making History at BATC

Nita Violina Marwah’s deadly smash was unchallenged, ending Indonesia’s heroic struggle to become the Asian team champion. The last number ensures that Nita / Lanny Tria Mayasari win over Kim Min Ji / Park Min Jeong, with a score of 23-21, 21-11 in a duration of 34 minutes, Sunday, February 20, 2022.

The red-and-white flag can also be flown and the national anthem Indonesia Raya plays in the arena to accompany the triumph of the Indonesian women’s team on the championship podium. Indonesia conquered South Korea 3-1.

“I am proud and very relieved to be able to perform well with Lanny and present a victory and lead Indonesia to win,” said Nita in a release received by VIVA.

“Earlier I was also nervous because this is the final match. Thank God I was able to win and bring Indonesia the champion. This is a title that makes all of us very happy,” said Lanny.

The Indonesian women’s team won the 2022 Badminton Asia Team Championships.

With the additional victory from Nita/Lanny, Indonesia confirmed the Asian team champion after beating South Korea 3-1 in the final match at the Setia City Convention Center, Selangor, Malaysia, Sunday (20/2) afternoon. Two other winning points were presented by Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Putri Kusuma Wardani.
