VIVA – Good news for the Indonesian women’s team at the 2022 Badminton Asia Team Championships (BATC). Srikandi Merah Putih is certain to step into the final without breaking a sweat.
Indonesia should meet defending champions Japan at the Setia City Convention Center, Selangor, Malaysia, Saturday 19 February 2022. This match starts at 09.00 WIB.
However, Japan decided to withdraw because some of their players felt they were not fit to play. Thus the Indonesian women’s team qualified for the final without breaking a sweat.
Another semifinal in the women’s sector brought together South Korea vs Malaysia. Indonesia is just waiting for the winner of this duel.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian men’s team, which was the defending champion, was challenged by Singapore in the semifinals. The duel will take place starting at 15.00 WIB. In the other semifinal match, South Korea met Malaysia.
The Indonesian men’s and women’s teams performed well in the 2022 BATC Group elimination. They both won the group with a perfect record.
