VIVA – The departure of the national boxer from Malang, Heru Purwanto alias Hero Tito, leaves a deep sorrow. East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa stated that the departure of the boxer nicknamed The Lion was a sorrow for the people of East Java.
The head of the East Java Youth and Sports Service, Pulung Chausar representing Khofifah, came to the funeral home to give her love and condolences to Nurul Wijayanti, the wife of Hero Tito. He also met the two children of Hero Tito Tasya Adinka Azahra (13 years) and Tito Al Ghazali (5 years).
“The Governor of East Java, Ms. Khofifah Indar Parawansa, expressed her condolences for the death of Sam Hero Tito, the proud athlete of East Java, especially the people of Malang,” said Pulung, Saturday, March 5, 2022.
Nurul said that the assistance from the East Java Provincial Government would be used to continue the ideals of the late Hero Tito. First, continue the renovation of the house for Hero Tito’s children. The house occupied by Hero Tito’s family is currently still under renovation. The second is to realize the will to set up a boxing gym in front of the house that is being renovated.
“We will definitely continue this because Mas Hero’s dream is that it is a house for his son. Assistance from the Governor and assistance from anywhere will be used to realize Mas Heru Tito’s dream of building a house and a boxing gym,” said Nurul.
Hero Tito died after a duel against James Mokoginta at the National Hollywings Gatsu Night Club, Jakarta on Sunday 27 February 2022. Hero Tito and James were involved in a 10-round duel for the Indonesian Boxing Association (ATI) lightweight belt at the Holywings Sport Show.
This match was fierce, both fighters exchanged blows at the beginning of the round. Until finally a horror incident approached Hero, precisely in the 2nd minute of the seventh round. James, who was initially hit by a barrage of jabs from the Hero, got up.
