They were Zhang Ning, Cai Yun, and Fu Haifeng. BWF President, Poul-Erik Hoyer Larsen assessed that the three Chinese badminton legends had contributed greatly to the development of world badminton.

“Zhang Ning, Cai Yun, and Fu Haifeng were iconic figures in recent years. They play at the highest level, and help them illuminate every major title in badminton,” commented Poul-Erick Hoyer Larsen.

“I congratulate those who enter the BWF Hall of Fame which is the recognition they deserve,” he said.
