Amazon Studios has just announced that they have given the green light to a spin-off series project from their superhero drama, The Boys. This untitled project will take place in a college specifically built to educate young superheroes which, of course, is run and operated by Vought International. The series will explore the lives of these young heroes as they “test their physical, sexual, and moral limits, competing for the best contracts in the best cities.”
The series is described as a series that takes part of the college, part of the story Hunger Games combined with a story full of drama, satire, and obscene from The Boys. The cast of the new series is Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Shane Paul McGhie, Aimee Carrero, Reina Hardesty, and Maddie Phillips.
Spin-off The Boys which does not yet have an official title, will follow the story of young heroes in the only educational institution or campus for budding superheroes. This series will take the setting and story in a college with the aura of the Hunger Games films. At this unique university owned and operated by Vought International, super-powered students will learn to control their powers while competing to become the best saviors in town.
In the comic version The Boysthere is a group of young heroes named “Teenage Kix” who acts as a parody of a series of young hero teams like Teen Titans.
As of this writing, no date or time has been set for the release of the as-yet untitled spinoff series, but it is certain that the story will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. Meanwhile, The Boys recently completed the production process for season 3 and will soon announce a release date in the near future. Anyway, a 2021 release seems highly unlikely and there are even rumors claiming that season 3 might even be released in mid-2022.
Serial The Boys starring Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, and Karl Urban along with Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, and Nathan Mitchell. A line of new cast members have also joined the latest season of The Boys, as has Supernatural actor Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy. Laurie Holden, known to fans through The Walking Dead, also joins this season, along with Sean Patrick Flanery, Nick Wechsler and Miles Gaston Villanueva.
