VIVA – The Central Board of the Indonesian Badminton Association (PP PBSI) is ready to welcome the return of the audience to the badminton match. It is planned that PBSI will hold the Indonesia Masters and Indonesia Open 2022 in June.

PBSI positively welcomes the issuance of a government regulation that has allowed all sports competitions in the PPKM level 1-3 areas to be attended by spectators. These provisions are stated in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 15 of 2022 dated March 7, 2022.

The parent of this national badminton organization really hopes that the badminton tournaments which will be held in the country will be attended by spectators again. The Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 15 of 2022 is a breath of fresh air for the development of the sport of tepok bulu in Indonesia.

“The presence of the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 15 of 2022 which allows all sports competitions to be attended by spectators is a breath of fresh air for PBSI and also for badminton lovers in the country. Of course PBSI positively welcomes the presence of this Inmendagri,” said Head of Public Relations and Media PP PBSI Broto Happy in an official press statement received by VIVA.

Broto said that the presence of spectators in the arena of sports competitions would make a tournament more lively. The longing of badminton lovers in the country for a quality spectacle, at least it will be curable. Moreover, the Indonesian badminton audience is so big and very fanatical.

“The presence of the audience back into the arena of this match will certainly greatly support the success of a badminton tournament. Because we know that the audience is an important element in every sporting event,” said Broto

With the presence of the Minister of Home Affairs, PBSI really hopes that in the biggest badminton tournaments in the country, namely the Indonesia Masters and Indonesia Open which will be held in June, the pandemic conditions in the capital have become more sloping and are at PPKM levels 1-3, so that both events This prestigious event can be attended by the audience again.
