Son Ye Jin’s Drama Something in the Rain Adapted To An Indian Series

The Korean drama Something in the Rain unites Son Ye Jin and Jung Hae In. When it aired in 2018, this drama stole the public’s attention.

Son Ye Jin plays Yoon Jin Ah and Jung Hae In plays Seo Joon Hee. Yoon Jin Ah is older than Seo Joon Hee, and is a best friend of Seo Joon Hee’s sister.

Something in the Rain tells the love story of Yoon Jin Ah and Seo Joon Hee who have known each other since childhood.

JTBC Studio recently announced Something in the Rain will be adapted into an Indian series. The series will be produced by Pocket Aces, which is India’s largest digital entertainment company.

Through this remake, for the first time JTBC Studio will enter the Indian market. It is known that the Indian public’s interest in South Korean content is increasing.

Through the released statement, JTBC Studio expressed the desire to get closer to the Indian audience in a more subtle way. One of them is by producing a series adapted from Korean dramas.

“We are pleased to present an adapted version of Something in the Rain for audiences in India. This collaboration represents a tremendous opportunity for JTBC Studio to enter the dynamic Indian market,” said JTBC Studio.

However, until now, there are still no known details about the adaptation of Something in the Rain, including the list of actors and the broadcast schedule. JTBC Studio still chooses to keep this a secret.

It is known, this is not the first time India has adapted a series from South Korea. Previously, The Man from Nowhere and Ode to My Father had also been remake and received very good reception.
