There seems to be some disturbance in the galaxy Star Wars because the latest film from this mega franchise, Rogue Squadron, must be postponed. The Hollywood Reporter reports that the film that the director will direct Wonder Woman, Patty Jenkins has been pulled from the production schedule and has been postponed indefinitely.
Rogue Squadron will be the first standalone film after Rise of Skywalker which has received a lot of criticism. Jenkins was previously reported to have developed Rogue Squadron with Matthew Robinson (The Invention of Lying) and Lucasfilm with the aim of starting production sometime in 2022.
Sources associated with the project said that there were scheduling issues with Patty Jenkins which made it impossible for the production plan for the film to be carried out in early 2022. It is not clear what schedule created the problem for Jenkins, but the director is known to have been linked to the project. At the end of last year, Jenkins had time to share his story through his account Twitter It was his personal opinion that Rogue Squadron would be quite a personal project for him. He talked about how he lost his father who was a fighter pilot and wanted to make a film about the greatest fighter pilot ever made; Rogue Squadron would give him that chance. So this is not just a Star Wars movie for her, but a way to express her love for her late father.
Although the plot details of the film have yet to be revealed, some information says that the film will introduce a new generation of fighter pilots as they gain recognition and risk their lives on the threshold, pilot high-speed airships, and transport the saga to a future galactic era.
For those who are not familiar with Rogue Squadronthe group became known at the Battle of Yavin in A Star Wars: A New Hope with an attack on the Death Star. The squadron’s story has subsequently appeared in various video games and novel series, but this will be the first time they have appeared in a film on their own.
However, Star Wars fans need not worry because in the near future there are many Star Wars projects that will lift their spirits, such as Book of Boba Fett which will debut late next month, followed by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsokanot to mention Season 3 of The Mandalorian.
