Easter break to do rehab, Selena Gomez reappeared for the first time at the 2016 American Music Awards. Not only did she look beautiful in a red dress from Prada that was minimalistic and elegant, that night Selena Gomez received an award in the Pop/Rock Female category, and her speech was truly touching. .
“It’s such a relief to know that you all know what’s going on with my life, whether you like it or not. I had to stop because I felt like I had lost everything and I felt so hurt. I tried to stay strong so you wouldn’t be disappointed, but I was trying too hard to cover it up and makes me hurt even more,” Selena Gomez said in her quote on intouchweekly.com. “I don’t want to feel your presence only through Instagram. I want to feel it through my heart. I don’t want a proof whether I need it again or not… but if you are hurt it doesn’t mean you have to be hurt. If you respect me or not, I just want to reveal who I really am – I care about all of you.”
