SEA Games 2021, the Real Challenge of the Indonesian Esports National Team

VIVA – The first stage of the Indonesian Esports National Team Training which was held at the Jeep Station Indonesia Megamendung, Bogor, West Java, 1-10 March 2022, has been completed.

In front of the Secretary General of the International Esports Federation (IESF), Boban Totovsky, Representative of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) Desra Firza Ghazfan and General Treasurer of KOI, Tommy Hermawan Lo, as well as the Secretary General of PBESI, Franky announced 66 selected athletes.

They will later become representatives of Indonesia at the 2021 SEA Games Hanoi. A number of targets were set for them to achieve.

“A total of 128 athletes of the first stage of the national training were representatives of the tens of millions who were netted. After following a rigorous selection, the best 66 athletes were selected,” said the Head of the Indonesian Esports National Team (BTN), RM Ibnu Riza Pradipto.

“They will strengthen the Indonesian Esports National Team which will appear in 10 numbers that will be competed in Hanoi, Vietnam later. And, they are the best, both chosen from the 10 coaches of the 2021 Hanoi SEA Games Pelatnas. Both in technical, physical, psychological, mental, strategic abilities , and analysis,” he added.

Ibnu emphasized the importance of the athletes who have passed not to be complacent. Because the real war for them is at the 2021 SEA Games.

“Never be satisfied with what has been achieved at Pelatnas. Because the real war will take place in Hanoi later. So, continue to improve achievements so that the desire to return to bring a gold medal to the country can be realized,” he said.

Boban Totovsky praised the implementation of the national training which was held by PBESI with complete facilities. As far as experience goes, this is probably the best.
