Scream Poster Reveals Scary Ghostface

After finishing the shooting process of the latest film project Scream some time ago, now Paramount Pictures finally started releasing its promotional material. They released a simple but still scary first poster featuring a scary Ghostface as a warning to fans to expect the unexpected from the ever-changing killer figure. Scream will be released in theaters on January 14, 2022.

This poster shows Ghostface in the dark and wielding a Buck 120 knife that is already covered in blood. The poster also repeats a mantra that has been consistently proven true throughout the series: “Always Someone You Know.” This tagline refers to Ghostface’s previous killers identified as initially trustworthy or unsuspecting characters, from Sidney Prescott’s loyal boyfriend Billy to his cousin Jill Roberts.

Scream directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett using a screenplay written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. The film will reportedly ditch the meta-humor found in each of the previous films with a new creative team, but considering all the main stars returning, it should still feel like a sequel. Scream. As previously reported, Neve Campbell, David Arquetteand Courteney Cox will return to reprise their iconic roles as Sidney Prescott, Dewey Riley, and Gale Riley.

Also back for Scream new this is is a star Scream 4, Marley Shelton as Judy Hicks. Other cast members include Kyle Gallner, Dylan Minnette, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mikey Madison, Jack Quaid, Melissa Barrera, and Jenna Ortega. While the details and plot of Scream are still shrouded in mystery, it is reported that the film will follow the story of a woman who returns to her hometown to try to find out who has committed a series of heinous crimes.

The first film directed by Wes Craven, released in 1996, made a big surprise on its debut and later helped to revive the slasher horror genre and become one of the highest grossing horror films of all time. The film then spawned three sequels.
