VIVA – The struggle of the Indonesian badminton team in the Badminton Asia Team Championships (BATC) continues today, Saturday 19 February 2022. Both the men’s and women’s teams will appear in the semifinals which will take place at the Setia City Convention Center, Selangor, Malaysia.
The semifinal draw was just held last night. Who will be Indonesia’s opponent?
The Indonesian women’s team will act first. They met defending champion Japan starting at 09.00 WIB. Another semifinal in the women’s sector brought together South Korea and Malaysia.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian men’s team, which was the defending champion, was challenged by Singapore in the semifinals. The duel will take place starting at 15.00 WIB. In the other semifinal match, South Korea met Malaysia.
The Indonesian men’s and women’s teams performed well in the 2022 BATC Group elimination. They both won the group with a perfect record.
The Indonesian men’s team successfully won Group A. They successfully beat Hong Kong 4-1, beat South Korea 3-2, then silenced India 3-2.
