VIVA – The candidate for captain of the Indonesian Swimming National Team at the SEA Games Vietnam 2021, Aflah Fadlan Prawira, said he was very satisfied with the results he achieved when he appeared in the National Selection for swimming as well as the time trial conducted by PB PRSI on March 18-20. He believes he can sharpen his time even more before appearing at the 2021 SEA Games Vietnam.
In the National Selection time trial which was held at the Bung Karno Aquatic Stadium, Jakarta, March 10-12 2022, Fadlan, who on the last day appeared in the individual 200m medley, won the fastest finish with a time of 2 minutes 06.07 seconds.
Despite being at the forefront, he has not been able to beat Triadi Fauzi Sidiq’s national record of 2 minutes 01.72 seconds. However, he had not thought too much about it.
The reason is, Fadlan can still sharpen his time in the remaining two months before the SEA Games Vietnam 2021. He believes his time record will get better in the future.
“Overall, satisfied with the performance of the whole team. We competed here to see the results of training since early January this year. Alhamdulillah the results are good, everyone is satisfied,” said Fadlan to VIVA.
“Then, in the remaining two months, we can maximize what is still lacking and perform at the SEA Games with maximum performance,” he said.
Furthermore, Fadlan also assessed that the gold medal target assigned to him was not an obstacle. Because he has a solid team that always supports the achievement of all the targets set by the federation.
