TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Ukraine claims Russia has kidnapped the mayor of Melitopol.
The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, accused Russia of aiding and financing terrorist activities.
Fedorov was also accused of being part of the criminal communists.
Fedorov is being held in the city’s crisis center.
He also refuses to cooperate with the enemy.
Melitopol is now under temporary control of Russian troops.
According to the Luhansk prosecutor’s website, Fedorov is accused of belonging to the right sector, a group that the Luhanks prosecutor says has carried out acts of terrorism against civilians in the Donbas region.

“Please ask Moscow to release the kidnapped mayor of Melitopol,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called the kidnapping of Fedorov a war crime under the Geneva Conventions.
