VIVA – World tennis player Novak Djokovic said in an interview that he admits it is better to sacrifice the title than to have a Covid-19 vaccine, Wednesday 16 February 2022.

The tennis player who won 20 Grand Slam titles had to be deported from Australia ahead of the annual Grand Slam match at the Australian Open, organizers and the government immediately canceled the Serbian tennis player’s visa.

Novak Djokovic currently holds 20 Grand Slam titles, one title behind Spaniard Rafael Nadal who won the Australian Open last month, and level with Roger Federer.

However, that doesn’t appear to be a problem for Djokovic, who told Givemesport when asked if he would give up the chance to win more Grand Slams because of his vaccine stance: “Yes. That’s the price I’m willing to pay.”

“Because the decision-making principles in my body are more important than any title or anything. I try to be in tune with my body as much as I can.”

The 35-year-old has won Wimbledon six times and has lifted the French Open trophy twice. He is the reigning champion of both competitions, winning three Grand Slams last year alone.
