Netflix has released the official trailer along with new character posters from Red Notice which was released on November 12th. This action film brings together three cool Hollywood stars; Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Gal Gadotand Ryan Reynolds which makes it one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
The new trailer features top FBI profiler John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson) being forced to team up with “the world’s second most notorious art thief,” Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) to track down the “world’s most notorious art thief,” Sarah Black (Gal. Gadot), aka “The Bishop.” Hartley explains in the trailer that Black framed him for a crime he didn’t commit and he now has red notice status. He needs to track down the woman who framed him and take her to clear his name. He always managed to stay one step ahead of Hartley’s pursuit. To do that, he needs the help of Booth, whom Hartley promises will become the most famous in the world if he is caught.
Red Notice is a heist action thriller that follows Johnson as an Interpol agent tasked with catching the world’s most wanted art thief. “Red Notice” is a reference to the highest and most high/dangerous code from Interpol for an international fugitive (there are 8 levels) and concerns the arrest of a wanted criminal. Meanwhile, Gal Gadot will play the role of the world’s greatest art thief with Ryan Reynolds playing the world’s greatest con artist.
In this film, Johnson reunites with the writer/director Central IntelligenceRawson Marshall Thurber, who directed Red Notice. The couple also collaborated on Skyscraper which was released some time ago.
With an estimated cost of about $160 million, Red Notice is one of the most expensive Netflix films to date, in part because of the high salaries the streaming giant offers its stars. The three main cast of the film reportedly received $20 million each, an astonishing sum which can nevertheless be justified by the popularity the three hold in Hollywood.
