Need an activity idea to celebrate Valentine’s Day? Disney+ Hotstar has prepared a special watch list! From classic tales of royal princesses to love stories full of conflicts and challenges, here are some movies and series that you can enjoy with your loved ones:

“Snowdrops” (2021)

Snowdrop is the first K-Drama series released on Disney+ Hotstar and has become one of the most watched content since its initial release to date. Set in 1987, this 16-episode series marks Jisoo’s acting debut from the group BLACKPINK.

Snowdrop opens the story of a man, Jung Hae-in, who accidentally walks into a female university dormitory in Seoul when he is injured. There, he meets Yeong-ro, a student who had a crush on him before. Both fall in love with each other, but they have a secret that might get in the way of their story. How will their love story end?

“What’s with love?” (2002)

“What’s with love?” tells the love story of high school students named Cinta and Rangga. Their meeting began when Cinta was about to interview Rangga, who won a poetry competition at school. Although their initial interaction was not smooth due to differences in nature, Rangga and Cinta’s relationship grew closer as the story progressed. Another problem arose because Cinta’s relationship with her friends began to drift apart since she was close to Rangga. How did the love story end?

Released in 2002, “What’s Up With Love?” is one of the legendary youth films to date. Success “What’s With Love?” also made this film screened in various countries. Don’t forget, you can also watch the continuation of the Love story in “What’s Up with Love 2” on Disney+ Hotstar.

“500 Days of Summer” (2009)

“500 Days of Summer” tells the story of Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a writer at a greeting card company in Los Angeles. In the midst of his ordinary life, he meets Summer (Zooey Deschanel) in an elevator. The brief meeting made Tom stunned. Then, fate seemed to bring Tom to be close to Summer. However, as their relationship grew closer, Summer even said that she didn’t want to have a boyfriend.

Released in 2009, “500 Days of Summer” is still one of my favorite romantic comedies moviegoers. Was Summer wrong for giving false hope? Or did Tom misinterpret their relationship? Thanks to its realistic storytelling, “500 Days of Summer” continues to be a modern love story that never gets boring to enjoy.

“Rookie Cops” (2022)

“Rookie Cops” is a special series because it is the acting debut for idol Top K-pop, Kang Daniel. This series is also a spectacle enlivened by famous Korean actors and actresses, such as Chae Soo-bin (I’m Not a Robot) and Lee Shin-young (Crash Landing on You). The first episode has been airing since January 26, 2022 and you must watch it only on Disney+ Hotstar.

“Rookie Cops” tells the story of a romance at a police academy. Wi Seung Hyun (Kang Daniel) is a police academy student who brings hope from those around him. He then meets Ko Eunkang (Chae Soo-bin), a student who always makes a fuss. These two police candidates are then involved in various situations that could threaten their future.

“Beauty and the Beast” (1991)

The romantic tales of Disney Princesses will always remain in the hearts of many, and “Beauty and The Beast” is one of them. This film is about Belle, a beautiful, intelligent, and brave country girl. Fearlessly, he tries to save his father who is being held captive in a castle belonging to someone in the form of a monster. In order for the father to be released, he must agree to live in the castle with the “monster”. Who would have thought, behind his unusual form, the “monster” has a soft side of himself.
