Ray Stevenson (Punisher: War Zone, Black Sails) reported has signed a contract to join the series Ahsoka owned by Disney. But unfortunately it is not explained who or what kind of character will be played by him. Rumors are circulating that Stevenson will play a villain in this series. He joins the stars of the series, Rosary Dawsonwho will reprise the main character, Ahsoka Tano who was previously “introduced” in the second season The Mandalorian and most recently appeared in The Book of Boba Fett.
For information, this is not Ray Stevenson’s first involvement with the world of Star Wars. Previously, the actor had voiced a Mandalorian warrior named Gar Saxon in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels. Besides Dawson and Stevenson, Ahsoka will also star Hayden Christensen, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ivanna Sakhno, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo.
Stevenson himself is best known for his roles in the series Rome belongs to HBO, where he played Titus Pullo for 22 episodes of the series. Stevenson has also appeared on the History Channel series, Vikingsand also Black Sails. He is also known for his role as Volstagg in Thor.
Ahsoka Tano is a former student of Anakin Skywalker, a character who will also appear in the series. The legendary figure will be reprised by Hayden Christensen, reprising the role he played in Attack of the Clones (2002) and Revenge of the Sith (2005). If the two interact on screen, this will be the first time master and padawan have been paired in a live-action project. Until now, they only appeared together in animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau will also executive produce. Until now very little information is known about the plot and storyline of the series or how someone like Anakin Skywalker will arrive considering the timeline of the series. Like The Mandalorian, the story takes place in the years after Return of the Jedi after Darth Vader’s death. However, there is a relationship between Anakin and Ahsoka, that is, between teacher and student. We all know by now that with Force Ghosts or the potential for flashbacks, there are a lot of ways the character played by Christensen in this series can go.
As we know, Ahsoka is just one of the many Star Wars series that are on their way to Disney+, as they just brought out The Book of Boba Fett. Also expected in 2022 this is a serial presence Obi-Wan Kenobi starring Ewan McGregor, and Andorwhich will see the return of Cassian Andor from the film Rogue One, played by Diego Luna. Besides, some projects are still in preparation such as The Acolyte, Lando, and Rangers of the New Republicin addition to the third season The Mandalorian.
