VIVA – The interim One Pride Mixed Martial Arts flyweight (flyweight) champion, Rama Supandhi, admitted that he was surprised by Suwardi’s stamina, who was able to serve him for up to five rounds. He considered Suwardi to be a very formidable opponent.
Rama claimed the interim flyweight championship belt after defeating Suwardi in a grueling five-round duel. The Hellboy was declared victorious by counting the numbers.
Rama admits that the duel this time is quite difficult. The reason is, he came as a substitute fighter because Ronald Siahaan was forced to miss due to being positive for COVID-19.
With minimal preparation, Rama ventured to appear to challenge Suwardi. Turns out, the gamble paid off.
After the match, Rama did not hesitate to call his rival a formidable opponent. In fact, Rama was surprised by Suwardi’s excellent stamina and was able to complete the duel for five rounds.
“I think Suwardi will run out of stamina in rounds 3 or 4. Apparently, his preparation this time is for 5 rounds. I see that his stamina is quite long and his playing is very tenacious,” said Rama to VIVA.
“That’s why it’s hard for me to press him. Suwardi is also one of the kings of submission, so I can’t just put pressure on him,” he continued.
