In accordance with the regulations of the Malaysian government and the championship committee, the Red-White badminton team arriving in Kuala Lumpur, Monday night, February 7, 2022, must undergo quarantine first. Because they could not leave the room, the players chose to practice independently in the Sunway Clio Hotel room, Selangor, where the Indonesian team was staying.

According to physical coach Yansen Alpine, to keep players fit, on the second day in the neighboring country, Tuesday 8 February 2022, he gave instructions to Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo et al., to do light exercises in their respective rooms.

Yansen explained, because all team members are undergoing quarantine in their respective rooms and are not allowed to contact others, the training in the form of an instructional video has been shared in WhatsApp groups.

“This training activity in each room is aimed at relaxing the muscles after yesterday the athlete flew from Jakarta to Kuala Lumpar and followed various stages of health protocol administration,” said Yansen in an official statement from PBSI.

Yansen said, the instructional video contains forms of exercise. Starting from stretching to help recover tired muscles during the trip and improve blood circulation after yesterday’s lack of physical activity.

“In addition, there are also conditioning exercises with gymnastic movements using the tabata method to maintain the condition and continue with cooling down,” he explained.
