TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Brent Renaud, an American journalist working in Ukraine, died after being shot by Russian troops outside the city of Irpin, police said.
Kyiv police chief Andriy Nebytov said Renaud had been targeted by Russian troops.
Meanwhile, two other journalists were injured and taken to hospital.
This is the first death among foreign journalists covering the war in Ukraine, as reported BBC.
An injured journalist, Juan Aredondo, said he was with Renaud when they were attacked.

“We crossed one of the first bridges in Irpin, were going to film another refugee leaving, and we got into the car,” he said in a video posted on Twitter.
“Someone offered to take us to another bridge and we crossed the checkpoint, and they (Russian troops) started shooting at us.”
“My friend, Brent Renaud, he was shot and left… I saw him shot in the neck.”
